Just a bit about me. :) I've realised I may be suffering from PTSD, after experiencing a number of symptoms I initially thought could be attributed to depression related to my job. Within 2.5 months time I was in an auto accident that totaled my vehicle [thankfully no one was seriously injured] and held up at gun point whilst walking down the street. I've been EXHAUSTED and experiencing a lot of headaches and body aches. I feel as though my muscular system is one giant knot. Additionally, I'm over-emotional [which is annoying, I'm formerly rather stoic and in far too much control of my emotions], have little desire to get a new car, experience hypervigilance as a passenger, and can't walk down the street without checking behind me to an OCD level. Several months have passed, and while this is not necessarily getting any worse, it doesn't seem to be subsiding as I thought it would.

Hi Catriona,

It doesn't sound like PTSD levels yet, however; if you don't seek some local therapy quickly, then it may develop. Its very normal to have symptoms after a traumatic event, and if you don't seek help, then they can develop and become more permanent.

By the sounds of it you need to see a trauma therapist, someone who deals in trauma, to quickly get rid of these aspects whilst there minor in nature, before they become significant.
