Grounding ~ What have you tried? Weighted blanket?

Just learned this today: reading a book, and writing a summary of it after every couple paragraphs. It is remarkable. I am no longer having a bad day.

I have been using my weighted blanket nearly 3 weeks now. My sleep has got better since the first night i slept 4hrs straight. I dont thrasher around and wake up in strange positions. The blanket has helped me wake up in close to same position i went to sleep in.

I have 20lb because of my weight ratio.

electric fan. the fluttering breeze forces my brain to pay attention to external stimuli but it's not an overwhelming experience.

I love my fan. It is my best grounding tool.

Being barefoot is something that also helps me. Wiggling my toes and stretching my feet helps if I can't take my shoes off.

Sense of smell - smelling salts or lobes inhaler if I need a jolt back to the present. Favourite scents or essential oils or food are really great for me too.

Meditation

Heyyyy... my blanky beads shifted and some pockets have no beads but the quilt stitching looks fine. Some nights the weight shifts to one area and its too heavy. It is not even.....

Anyone else have this happen? What can i do?

I don't have a standard weighted blanket. Instead I use a queen Korean mink double sided blanket (so soft) It is very soft, and in winter I fold it in half and double it up, and it is a 20lb blanket total. I had another one which was heavier, but my best friend got this from Korea and I really like both the softness and the weight of the blanket.

Is it animal mink?
No, it is washable. China makes Korean style blankets that are 100% polyester, and they are pretty but too light,
but polyester is not as heavy. You want to try to find a Korean mink blanket, reversible, double ply, thick, plush weigh about 10lbs for a queen with acrylic about 85% and polyester 15%. Total weight should be 10 lbs about. Beware of fake ones..!!
The lighter ones have more polyester.

I need 20lbs. How do i spot fakes? Thanks in advance!

Fake will be from China, they will be almost all polyester (too light), they will not always be double sided, poorer quality, and not have a tag Made in Korea. You might find a "real one" either at an import place or on eBay. The heaviest ones I've seen are 10 lbs. So how it is made, from what it is made, and where it is made is important. They are made to last 20 years, so that is often on the tag. You could get a king size and double it up. I do that in the winter. In the summer, I always use the mink blanket which is really soft, and put another heavy blanket (but which isn't as warm) on top. I can't do the weighted ones due to the texture and the not so blankety feeling. I need a soft, warm touch me....blanket. I'll fold the blanket in half when I need more weight to get me to my comfort zone. Many places have them, but look at the weight, size, and don't go to Walmart, Wayfair, or other similar cheaper online places. They all are machine washable....and getting a used one, given their life expectancy is also an option.
