1) I am grateful that I woke with minimal back pain.
I am grateful that I am loved by my sons and grandchildren.
I am forever grateful for this forum, seeing it as a place of refuge.

2) My positive experience. Driving to work this morning listening to music and feeling happy for a little while.

3) Worked out on my home gym for half an hour.

4) Meditation: Still working on that, the day's not over.

5) My random act of kindness was to phone a friend and offer her comfort. She is being sued after helping at a church charitable event and an incident occurred.

AND WE'RE OFF TO A GREAT START!!!

1. I'm grateful for the cell tower, the broadband (internet) tower and the folks who climb up them to repair them!
2. When doing my devotionals and Bible reading and meditation this morning, there was an essay on the exact problem I am facing since yesterday and some Bible verses to make me feel a lot of relief on the subject. I'm being persecuted by a family member for my Christian beliefs (I'm the only member of my family that is Christian). The Bible verse so explained why that is that I felt a whole lot of relief.
3. Marched in place for 3 minutes while my tea water came to a boil in the microwave, lifted weights and will probably do more exercise later too.
4. I read 5 devotionals (I do this daily), prayed and listened to God's answers to my thoughts that I expressed to Him. Also, before I do that each morning, I sit by my window and watch for the first hint of morning light (without any lights on in my room) and then I wait until there is enough natural light to read my Bible with. During that quiet time is also a kind of meditation on my part, appreciating the sun's light which I so adore. I rarely turn lights on when I sit by my window, as I prefer the light that God creates. I await it patiently each day as it dawns and brightens. This process can take several hours, if I wake up early enough, which I often do.
5. My dog has a vet appointment today, so when I go out I am sure that there will be ample opportunity to do a random act of kindness.

(I don't know if we are supposed to post this both here and in the private mail, but I post it here today anyway..)

1. Being able to walk at all(my knees are not "good enough" to run or jump with), having the ability to chose how I act, that my daughter didn't get sad when I was leaving the daycare center today(as she so often is).

2. Positive experience today: I visited a meeting for adults children of alcoholics(my home-group); and was honest about how the situation is and how I'm feeling, and a friend of mine there(not a close friend) gave me her greek sallad, and they all gave me support and hugs. :)

3. Exercise: I took a two hour long walk in the woods since the sun was out and it almost was summer outside today(so I could wear a t-shirt): but in the woods I stopped to take pictures with my smartphone a lot, so I wasn't the most effective walk really. Did 10 minutes of yoga.

4. Meditation: I tried. But I actually fell asleep- sitting up! I really tried, but I had to give up and sleep for 20 minutes.

5. Random act of kindness: I talked a bit with, and was nice to, the cashier at the grocery store. (for two minutes or so)

Where ever anyone is comfortable posting is the place to do it! The object is being accountable to ourselves to try. Daily growth will become a new norm.

We do our best and learn where we can improve the journey to happiness.

May 7th day 13th (officially Day 1)
1. Three new things you are grateful for today : being able to rest in the morning; having city buses; ice cream cone (yummmm)
2. Journal about a positive experience in the last 24 hours : complicity with the professor in the computor work shop - she is such a joyful and loving person we get «perfumed» by her energy
3. Exercise :long walk
4. Meditation : one in the morning concentrating on the nature and one in the afternoon concentrating on my chakras
5. A random act of kindness :let some cars pass during rush hour - being kind but being cautious also ;)

Day 2 for me and I'm struggling so here goes.

1) Three things to be grateful for today; The rain, we really need it after a long hot summer. My baby kitty that gives me lot of cuddles and love. The 2nd hand plasma TV my middle son gave me.
3) Excercise: 15 minutes on my Total Gym.
5) Random act of kindness: Picked up my new Filipino daughter in law to be, for a coffee at the local coffee shop.

Still working on 2 and 4.
