Today, is the 29th of Feb. Let us celebrate it with doing something we don't do but once every 4 years. Something so rare in our lives (and of course good) that we just don't lift ourselves up to it but once every four years. Happy Leap Day!

Let us share here what it is that we did, once we have accomplished it (or even tried doing it, even though we might fail. "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all," as the old saying goes)!

Cool :) I wasn´t even aware of this. I guess it´s a privilege if your birthday is not, say, on the 30th :D

I have made so many changes in the last few weeks, mainly involving the way I´ve been handling my life for the past five years, that I feel it´s okay and I do not need further action haha. But I´m wishing you all great change and maybe even a great leap of your own (even if seems not so great to you!)

Realized after a considerable amount of dialoging with my mister over some new situations over the past week that I'm taking a "leap" (putting in my notice with my agency for multiple reasons) on Leap Year day. How apropos. Heh. Hopefully it's a sign I'm doing the right thing.

I have 3 years with this employer... but this is a significant thing for me and out of character as usually I'm "on the ropes" before I take action? Close - three quarters of the 4 year suggestion Shelia, but close enough?

This year is my "health" theme and it's all about me, my marriage, and balancing my activities. That's a big deal and something that I only have mild stress about.

Lovely idea and suggestion in your post topic!!!:tup::tup:

I decided to go to school, with a microcomputer, and call this day the starting day of my RoguePi-ing, a process in which I shall take my little onboard microcomputer, and use it in random places. :) Totally nerdy and cool!

As a matter of fact, this has been sent from that microcomputer!

Happy leap day!

I have learned a lot in the last four years and I hope I will learn more in the next four to get back to full bill of health

Notice every leap year is always an Olympic year too

Happy leap day :)

I'm at appreciating gaps / leaps between things / emptiness as something useful, lack as something inspiring and motivating. Facing lack and mishappenings by letting them come and flow & just go with the flow. Curious how long it lasts, again.

@Cashew - I tracked mine by marking a calendar and kept it up for more than two years or so (3?)... Kept it simple - a minus for a less than neutral day, zero for a neutral day (or mixed) and plus for a better than neutral day (in any of three areas: physical/mental emotional/spiritual). Just a thought? It myth busted my lying mind about how many bad days, how many neutral days there were but it also demonstrated a few at first then more as I progressed the better than neutral days/good ones I had... and in my case I could see a pattern eventually in the cycling between my diary and the time or year or holidays. Just a thought?

Off topic, my apologies... please resume 4 year things?

Not so off topic, and thank you for the suggestion, @The Albatross.

I've been at marking days by sum of plusses and minuses for a few years. As in acknowledging the good and bad in every day, that there was something good even in very wearing me down days. Feeds a sense of balance, for true.

Every leap day since we were 7, my friends and I would go to school dressed all weird in costumes and such, and go out to eat for breakfast and dinner. When people ask why we'd say "why it's leap day!" When we were 7, we thought it was a special event and my teacher let us believe that and said that leap day is the day you can dress, eat, play whatever you want. We just believed it and our parents didn't have the heart to ruin our fun. When we were 11 we realized it was nothing special to everyone else, but decided to do it because we'd been waiting for it the past 4 years.
