Good luck with that, I hope the doctor can give a helpful diagnosis or carry out some tests.
I take hours and hours to get to sleep, I'd try everything milky drinks before bed, exercise..I'll be awake feeling tired but jumping at every noise, it was torture, feeling so exhausted but anxious too..then finally at around 6am or 6.30am I might fall asleep..then I'll be asleep for hours sometimes until 3pm. Luckily I am off work at the moment on sick leave after having a psychosomatic seizure and being diagnosed with PTSD.
Last night though was different, I took the doc's advice and took anti-hystamine hayfever tablets for the drowsy effect they have and I had a full night's sleep which I haven't had in months and months - so it felt great..but I woke up at around midday which wasn't so great. I wanted to go back to bed but got up had a shower and got dressed, Im going to go out somewhere just to get fresh air. Plus im anxious because there are things I need to do later in the week (all afternoon/evening stuff) but I want to try to get a normal pattern going again so I can function and not be sleepy. Having been up and bout for a few hours I feel ok and have been listening to upbeat music to help.
If your bf has had any helpful suggestions or even better a possible diagnosis, I'd like to know as this is all very strange to me and has been going on since october. My doctor..I'll be honest with you isn't very good and makes very obvious suggestions all the time about the sleep so I have given up with trying to explain.
