Has anyone found that their sleep issues improved when becoming "religious"?

I think the oppossite.

In, if there is a God, I’ll keep demanding them to give me something concrete to do till the morning.... Instead of leaving things to them.

Doing better with the concept of things where spiritual is everything, that’s a kind of Shit happens, beauty happens too, now will you go the f*ck to sleep.

I have definitely found Jesus does not take my problems away all the time or provide easy solutions. But it helps for me to know he's there.

always remember and never forget, the largest army in history to march into battle with a bible in their breast pocket was the Third Reich. Just nowing that there are people that draw their strength from the very source that lead those soldiers scares me to death, and haunts my dreams.
I suffered and still suffer at the hands of religious people. dreamt about it all night last night because I heard that one of them is raising their self-righteous head back into my view again after a long and enjoyed absence, and found myself looking for posts about sleep and found this thread today.
There are good religious people and there are bad religious people. What is really scary is that I think, as a non-religious observer, that the religious people that are good are either unable or unwilling to recognize the bad ones and are often entirely unable to do anything about stopping them if they do recognize them and the harm they do.
They exist, I know, I won't forget. In my worste nightmares I cant do anything about them. the source of my PTSD.

I hear you. It's very tough in the church right now and a lot of people have cloaked themselves under the mantle of God to do horrible things. I'm sorry you've suffered at the hands of hypocrites and evil people.

I’ve been a believer that Jesus is my Lord and savior for many years which has helped me as I navigate this because it gives me hope.
I still struggle with sleep problems and many other symptoms but I do believe my faith has become stronger because of the traumas. I really can’t imagine how I would cope at all without it.

I hope that answers your question.

I aligned myself with the UU church and became more knowledgeable about a variety of belief systems. I think having faith and hope for positive change has helped-and most spiritual communities are all about giving us support when we aren't sure we can go it alone. Community makes me feel stronger, and I do shamanic journeying with my PTSD and inner children and this really creates a much more peaceful and cohesive me.
Just my experience though-people who have been involved with cults may not agree....as encouraging individuality in spirituality, faith, and religion (like UUs do) are often triggering.
