The other day I saw a stick and thought it was a dinosaur. No I don't take drugs...and yes I was sober. Then I laughed at myself...probably seemed a little crazy.

That happened to me once when my son was a newborn. I hadn't slept in three days in a row and was walking with him after he woken up for the 78th time or so one night. I started hallucinating that he was a fire breathing demon! Fortunately I had my wits about me enough to wake my husband up and was able to get some sleep. Luckily it never happened again.

I have hallucinated from drugs that were given to me post operatively. They caused me to leave my body and look down at myself and others in the room. They also caused a spiritual hallucination which was truly amazing. I wasn't frightened by visions and sensations, but I do wish that I had been with people who didn't mock me for them. Unfortunately I was in a room full of doctors who thought it was absolutely hilarious that I was saying and doing the crazy things that I was.

I used to be embarrassed about it, but I know that I couldn't help it at the time. Also, as they say, karmic payback is a bitch, and they have it coming in spades.;)

One time I was supposed to eat a sandwich, looked down at it, and only saw a bird's eye view of a village filled with people with dark blue skin. Or woke up and saw a severed arm hanging above my doorway, started screaming (was like 6) and dad came in and walked through it, freaked me out even more :p. Other than that I hear someone snapping my name, hear a lot of thuds and sometimes what sounds like distant screams, only had one flashback though. I see a lot of things added to my view, like boxes or items that arent there, usually are in the room, just not where I saw them. Or that feeling of de-ja-vu in a situation completely new, dunno if that's hallucination. It's sort of like you either just experienced it or are experiancing it twice?

I have very bad hallucinations with voices, but it's mainly my ex boyfriend voice from my first realtionship.
