Every night I have dreams my abuser is coming back to kill me. The scenes are different but not the scenario. It is more scarier than being haunted by Freddy Krueger. I dream I can't get away and I am running into a store and trying to escape or hide. I have to get out of this town because I think being in the next town over is not far enough. I need help

I am sorry that you are having nightmares about your abuser. Is there more stress than usual in your life lately? I left my abuser almost five years ago and still have occasional nightmares about him, but they tend to spike when I'm stressed or anxious more than normal while I'm awake. So far I have not found a solution to this; it's either I don't sleep so that I won't have the nightmares, or I go to sleep and have the nightmares. Speaking of Freddy Krueger...remember when the kids in the movies took 'hypnocil,' the experimental drug that suppressed their dreams? Wouldn't it be great if we could take some of that! Sorry for the joke, I just wish there was another option for us!
