Better get my apologies in, sorry for posting in the wrong section, sorry to anyone who thought it was serious particularly for the poor joke about the rope. I may be older but clearly no wiser. A big thank you for those helping me get out of the hole I'd slung myself in.

No worries and all sorted - was a bit worried about you at first when I saw the reported post until I saw the thread (and luckily have an idea of your sense of humor).

Glad to hear you happened to not only get older but wiser as I know of many who get the older bit but not wiser. :whistling::p

People are human... and if you feel your presence on a forum balances on whether your birthday is remembered... well, I could only say... I think you may be over-looking things.

I have been told so many times that my sense of humour will get me in trouble, but I have laughed it off. Yet here is the prime example of where it can get me.

I feel so embarrassed that some thought it genuine and I feel bad that I might have caused them embarrassment in turn because of their good intentions in responding to my thread.
