Hi everyone,
I'm a fairly new Marine Corps wife (been married for a little over a year), and my husband was diagnosed with PTSD a few months after we were married. He's been in therapy for a few months, but just tonight he told me some things that scared me. I'm trying to become educated and I want to learn more about this illness. Anyway, I know it's going to be rough, but I'm not willing to give up on him. Ever. I'm eager to check out this forum in hopes of receiving advice. thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Your husband must feel real safe around you. Most veterans with PTSD don't even share with their closest mates. Usually only therapists. My ex wife does not know anything about my traumas.
Good luck, I am sure some of the partners/supporters/carers can help.

Jimmy

Hi Irish,
You are taking a step in the right direction, and that is to learn all you can - have an open mind, be pattient, and know that you are not alone.

First priority right now is to take care of yourself - you need to be strong for him.

Welcome to this site

Hello Irishlove. You have come to the right place to learn. There are some amazing vets and amazing carers on here! Welcome!
