hello to all,
sorry it has beena while but our lives have finally settles down... We moved to Newcastle at the beginning of June, literally just before the flood hit! Our car was delivered the day the rain started and it was immersed in water up to the gear stick- it is only just starting to run smoothly again though it still plays up sometimes. We were staying with Alex's family when we first got here and then because of the flood it took ages to find a house due to all the damge... we finally go a house, we moved in on the 5th of July.. on the 6th of July the real estate agent came around to tell us that the owner had sold the house through a different real estate and wanted us out by the 6th August so the new owners could take posession on that day. We hadn't even finished unpacking yet :-( We did get another house before the 6th of August and we are only just settling down again... The biggest shock during all of this was that Alex didn't have a PTSD related outburst the whole time. I was preactically going mad and he was suprisingly calm about it all. My two boys are finally settled into our new house. They are getting so much bigger now. Jackson will be 2 years old in 2 months and little Phoenix is four and a half months... they really grow up too fast. Alex and I have changed our wedding date to the 04th October 2008 because it is too cold to get married here in June... we are immersed in wedding plans up to our eyeballs, but so far we are still enjoying it... We have gotten a solicitor who specialises in military law to look into Alex's case... Alex's Nan told him about Alex and what happened to him and he thinks it will make his career... so much so he contacted us when we hadn't called him within a week of Nan giving us his card!!! Everything is going along smoothly now and we are finally settling in to our new life in Newcastle. It is so good to be away from the army atmosphere of Townsville. Anyway I had better go, hope all is well with you all...
