Kia ora and greetings,
Like many of you I get the label PTSD - severe and then several sub titles just to make life interesting :) I live in New Zealand in the winterless North. We have just experienced a large earthquake which will add trauma to many lives. I have recently read "The responsible treatment of post traumatic stress disorder" by James Chu which helped put words to many aspects and more recently "Bodily Harm" by Wendy Lader and Karen Conterio has enabled much unconscious material to move into my awareness.
A supportive GP has made the difference for me - who views herself as a team member with me - allows for healing to begin. I have already appreciated browsing in some of the forums and reading material on this site.
All the best to fellow travellers! :hello:
