Sufferer Hello from tennessee - leaving abusive marriage

Hi everyone I’m 33 and I live in Tennessee. Right now at the present moment I am recovering from surgery because I broke my ankle in three places. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, I have a lot more time to worry about shit and think!!!

Anyway, I am working myself out of an abusive marriage and the problems that surround leaving an abuser. I’m here to read your stories, learn from what you guys have to say, and get some new advice and prospective on things.

I’m no longer living anymore and it’s a struggle to find happiness most days. I know that there is life after trauma so I’m here in hopes that this is something that can help me along my way.

Also, I am no longer website savvy and am used to user friendly apps and such so be patient with me as I learn to work this thing!!

I love Tennessee. It's a beautiful state. Last year, just before the fires we spent a week in the Smokies. Then spent the weekend in Nashville. What a fun city!!

Yes Tennessee offers some beautiful attractions. I am only a mere hour and a half-ish from Pigoen Forge/Gatlinburg. Sadly, I don’t get out the way but every few years.

My guy has family in Hickman. He lived there for a few years and went to Middle Tennessee state university.

I definitely will be moving on in one piece. I know it’s not over and there’s going to be more drama and bullshit to go through but God is in control of this situation and I easily do forget that from time to time.
