Not sure what i am supposed to put on here...?

I was diagnosed with PTSD in May as result of repressed memories that hit me like a mack truck starting in April. I did my best to deny them, but research and medical records support them as, more than the nightmares, i had hoped them to be.

I was sexually abused and sadistically tortured starting at the age of 4 and continuing on for several more years. It is still hard to think about much less talk about, but I'm working on that.

PTSD is hard to deal with, but it does get better with time and the right therapy.

Welcome to the Forum, chasing backwards!

You wrote a great introduction. I hope you get a chance to look around the forum as well as the sister forum mentioned above. You will find a number of people who experienced similar traumas to yours, including myself. I suspect that it was probably scary to find the evidence documented in the medical chart, but believe me that in the long run it will be helpful.

I hope that you are able to find the right therapist who can help you along this very difficult journey! As hard as it may seem, it is work that is well worth it.
