You're very right in that the actual work itself is tough and yours to plow through, however your wife as supporter is in this as well and will be thrilled as the progress begins to show.

Based on what I've observed in my husband over the last few years, supporters need support as well.

Please no apology needed. All input is welcome. We are each in our own situation but grow from pieces of what we share: this is what I believe.
I agree with all that you have written. Absolutely the people that support us need support and it is to this end that I mention part of that support is not to expect too much. My PTSD weighs heavy on her, but she is ever present, ever supportive. I just needed too much, and realized there are limits. God bless
