Well, I've known about this site for quite a while. I've got a family member on the PTSD forum and it really has helped her a lot in so many ways. I thank you guys for that... so I guess, I'm here to get myself straight, I suppose. I'm not sure what to do here, in all truths. So I'm just going to wing it. Hi, you may call me Charming and I lost my virginity to my father when I was 8 years old... how's that for a greeting? Now, thank you for having me and I wish the best to everyone.

I was 7...not sure if I was a virgin though, even then. Actually, I consider losing virginity when it's consensual, not when it's forced. So I guess I was a virgin, at least in my own mind.

I am glad that you found your way here and are ready and able to jump in now. I like your greeting, coming from someone in a similar boat.

My father was my first and primary sexual abuser. The experience did a number on me and I have struggled with C-PTSD since infancy. My mom was able to see my symptoms (e.g. dissociation) and put me in play therapy and sand therapy starting very early. Despite the fact that my mom was in the same room regularly, she doesn't remember anything happening. I tried regular adult trauma therapies during the past several years, but have now found my way back to play and sand therapy with a therapist who works with all ages and is trained in different therapy types. We use whatever we need to during any given session.
