My dad's insurance does potentially cover me until I am 26. I am looking at different insurances now, and I think I can wait until November.

You are a brave girl, have come the right place on line as this group is full of support and caring people who understand. Continue pushing and trying for healing. It will take time and babysteps. I was unable to read all the way through introduction due to my own situation, triggers, place; however I want to acknowledge it and say welcome!

One thing to remember is that as an adult, you should have acces to your own insurance card, be able to talk to the insurance company without his knowledge or consent.
In fact, that's the law after you turn 18(I knew this but forgot. I have three kids over 18)
Now the problem is that your bills will be your bills but if you talk to a therapist about your income issues they may be of assistance. They will get paid through the insurance but maybe they can work something out for the deductible/co-pay etc.

I was just hospitalized for suicidal ideation and the flashbacks for a little bit (came home and my cockatiels were so mad at me, but my boyfriend took care of them). So I have an official diagnosis now, and I am on medication, which has proven to be life-saving. I still am having bad days, but it is getting better. I start therapy on Monday.
