Hey RL

From your post I'd assume that you aren't in any form of treatment at the present time, but did have some help at some point. What do you do at the present time for your PTSD? Always curious about how people learn to deal with it.

I now meet with a group of vets outside the VA thou we all are rated with ptsd and other stuff, mine is tbi, ptsd, and other things so I am at 100%+ I did go to the VA for quite some time and there was allways a push for drugs and there form of group did not mesh with me. So I got together with a different group and have all but quit drinking to excess and at times have a calm demenor thats my set up and it works for me may not for others. To add I used the VFW for my poa and have nothing but praise for them they were a great help as were others but as we say in group you are your own best rep no one else will do as much for you as you can for your self

Hey RL

I meet with a group at the Vet Cnt but we also get together outside of that as well It's a nice connection for me and it give us a chance to just talk about some things that we don't or can't because of time constraints. I'm not always good with people but these guys are my friends.

I've had to go back to the VA a few years ago due to some severe illness and PTSD. Having to pay out of pocket like I did was ridiculous and I also almost lost everything I worked my whole life for. So I always understand why people opt to not go to them. After all these years they still remain...............a challenge. Nice way to put it.

The DAV is my advocate so being involved with a service group is a good thing.

I was with 2/27th Marines, I Corps. Went over just a TET started in '68. I always find it interesting to see how other 'Nam vets have fared and dealt with their problems. Thanks for the response.
