Hey I'm New And Feeling Rather Confused

Hi there,

Lilstar here, i'm 25 and ive been suffering with c-ptsd for the last 5 years, before that I did a good job of hiding everything. I'm feeling really confused trying to make sense of it all including these flashbacks. Anyway i'll look forward to chat to you all,

Welcome to the forum.

There is some good information and posts about flashbacks on the PTSD section of the main forum, as well as a section for C-PTSD. Also some articles on the "Home Page", which will give you more information.

Take your time posting there is no rush for anything. Other member will relate to your hiding your PTSD for so long.

Hi Lilstar,

Nice to see you here. Even if you don't feel ahead of the game, maybe you are. You hid yours-you'll see some of us ignored it completely for twice as long. I wasn't as strong as you at least sound, probably, in those days and avoided the pain I thought might be involved in figuring out what might be 'up'. I hope you're finding some peace here, along with not being alone with this.

Hello Lilstar,

I certainly relate to the hiding aspect and have been wondering if this is my inner and outer world or even masks? To the world I have a need to present 'the show must go on' and yet inside may be crumbling with the most recent crisis. Mostly I keep it hidden for years and then 'have an accident' or something and my actions come into the public arena. One thing I am assured of, we are each complex and unique creatures!

Much learning to be done in these forums.
