My name is Tad and I suffer from ptsd and major depression disorder. I have been diagnosed since around August 2003. Just went to a new VA clinic in Conway AR and thought that I had been screened for a TBI but it turns out that I may not have been. I was in the Marine Corps til medically retired 4/05. While I was active my command didn't recognize my condition and just kind of through me to the side because I was combat ineffective. I was in the initial invasion of Iraq and being a combat engineer I was ahead of the entire invasion force. We made a wrong turn on April the 4th and were ambushed resulting in the death of my squad leader. Anyway that's about as far as I want to go right now.

Hi Tad

The Corps has a way of just disregarding any kind of injury of any kind. You know, it's kinda' like, you get your foot blown off and they'd say 'put that boot in your pack Marine, you never know when you might need it'. Not really funny but they have a way about them.
