Hello, my name is Amy and I live in Winston Salem, NC.. I have PTSD and would like to chat with others about what we are going through. I am so thankful to have found this support group.. this is a very scary time for me. I have no health insurance, so I'm trying to get through this with limited help/ support. *nods in assent* I've had six therapists in my life and 1-5 didn't even say the letters PTSD. #6 was a jackpot though, and was really helpful. So if you get to a place where you can do therapy, keep trying out new therapists until yo get one that works for you.

Welcome Amy - there are lots of ways to help yourself even without health insurance. Living in a metropolitan area you will have easy access to books that you can read to help. There are many helpful people on this forum. Basic stuff, like eating healthy, avoiding alcohol or drugs, getting exercise, you can do without insurance.
