Thanks everyone, for your replies. I have definitely thought about adopting another dog from a shelter, but my husband is not ready for another dog yet. I did tell him earlier today that my nightmares have defiintely decreased in severity since we've had Gunner with us. He's a good watchdog, maybe that's it? I don't know. I just put a big bug in hubby's ear about this, though, so maybe we'll do something about it. I hope so. I know our Misha wouldn't want us to not adopt another dog because we're so stuck on her. She'd want us to take in a dog that wouldn't get another home. Now, if I could just convince hubby . . . .
