I don't spend as much time here since I came out of my last regressive stage, but I still pop in every day or every other day.

I spend an hour or two everyday. It's become routine for me. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I find that I get more out this forum then the PTSD support groups I attend. I think it's because I can skip over topics that I find no interest in or that I do not personally relate to.

I get angry sometimes in group because it seems like some people find too much comfort being stuck in a victim role. I want to get better and I want to be around people that want to get better.

So far this forum has been very positive for me as there is a good sense of community and a general willingness to find solutions for the everyday problems that living with PTSD can present.

Uh wait is there more to this poll..... where is the number 25........ yikes!!!

Way too much......... homebound and comfort are my excuses........ or reasons...... I agree with "nut" no eating when on Comp all though I would be a liar if times I did not wolf down my food as to not miss the next post, inbox message or alert........

Frustrating for me is I am slow keyboarder and most of you are FAST. My adhd with physical disadvantage is tough as you all type 3 messages on one thought quickly and I type 1 message with 28 thoughts slowly........ "Darn u ALL"...... But in the truths of honesty I would miss this place if it weren't for all of you! (and my T bill would go thru the roof)

I agree with KP and NJRay; I'm on this forum way too much.

BUT this summer I promised myself that I would take the time off from my academic life to do a lot of self-care, and I work pretty intentionally on this forum and take intentional breaks from the forum, go to the park every day with Annie and such.

Sooo... guilty as charged, way over three hours, but it really does make a difference to me and really has helped.

Even my significant other admitted that I was improving after poo-pooing the forum for a while.

I climb into the forums for 2 or 3 hours sometimes, about as often I just pop in and out. I tend to read the posts when I can't sleep, which is often.

It depends.

I have at least an hour and a half or 2 until I can sort of MOVE in the morning. It can get longer some days, I get up at 5. I'm not boo-hooing, just the way it is. The anti-inflammatories and other stuff have to flatten everything before the day gets launched.

It's a double purpose, however since being here also flattens the bewilderment and keflufflement I wake up with daily, sorts me the heck out for the day, helps hugely with the anxiety for some reason.

If it's an awful day, sometimes will check in in the evening to remind myself maybe I'm not crazy. It does work, not idea why.

I'm just curious.

It helps me to be here, but it also helps me when I get on with other things!

I'm not sure if I've got the balance right for myself, and I wondered how long other people spend here each day or week, and whether you feel it's too much, too little or about right?

It varies. Sometimes when I'm home watching tv or if I'm upset, I will refresh the list of posts here. If I'm really upset, I go to "What's New" but can't really comprehend what's on the list. Despite that, I still refresh it. I know..it's a waste of bandwidth.

Anyway, I tend to check it in the morning and evening. If I forget my Kindle, sometimes I look at the forum on my lunch break. It provides a good distraction so I don't venture to our cafeteria and buy giant chocolate-chocolate chip muffins!
