Whoa, unexpectedly finding compression to be really helpful...have a scarf wrapped tight around my ribs and feel like I can function today (well, enjoying the odd fashion until I need to leave the house). It's weird I can't handle massage, pressure, or even being touched on my back sometimes, but spread out pressure of wrapping up my upper body is really settling. By this point the muscles in my back are starting to hurt quite a bit and feel fatigued, so compression feels supportive for that too.
@franciemarnie thanks for note on crying. It's really complicated for me, too!! I'll feel like my head is going to explode and then realize the pressure disappears if I can let myself cry for one minute. Sometimes any tears are overwhelming...or come from place of overwhelm and can increase panic. It's a little like that today, but I let myself cry a tiny bit just to release some of the feelings of exhaustion. It's like I'm learning slowly how to use crying as healthy release but not feel like I will fall apart, if that makes sense. The simple things are most complicated!
Feeling better. Thanks again.
