My pregnancy is kicking my butt, I am so tired of the morning sickness, and the tiredness. Ready to start looking pregnant instead of just feeling it.

Hi anna,

I'm so with you on this, not so much the morning sickness as I really didn't suffer that a lot but oh the tiredness. As for looking pregnant, man do I look like that now. I'm only a little person but for a little person I have one big belly!! It must be quite noticable as my toddler decided that it was a good place to drive his car yesterday. He had a fantastic time driving his little red ferrari over my tummy and boobs......cheeky monkey!!

Youngandangry, awesome! I soooo understand how you felt! Just reading about that girl at the coffee shop was makin MY blood boil, and I wasn't even there, haha! Heck yeah, be PROUD of that! I'm also slowwwwly learning how not to explode like the grande finale of a 4th of July fireworks show when people behave like that to me, but maaaan, it's slow!

Hello Texas!!

I feel relaxed right now...Its my last day of work for the week and i am heading out to Texas with my hubby tomorrow morning... I hope we have a good, relaxing fun trip ~crossing my fingers~
We have not had a decent vacation in a very long time...
I am going to miss my Beagles!! but this is much needed, i need to get out of the city.

LOL! That is too funny! That reminds me what my four year old did the other day at the book store. I was standing there in the kids section when she came up to me and rubbed my belly saying ,"Whoa mom, you're belly is betting bigger! The baby's getting bigger!" Uhhhhhh, I'm not pregnant! I don't consider myself fat either, but jeez, I must have been pouching out or something! I have asked my daughter recently if she would like to have another brother or sister. It must have stemmed from that!

Yesterday, I had a bit of a disagreement with the hubby about my drawing. All he could see was that the figure in the picture was naked. I took offense, but maybe it's just a guy thing....

My day is going great. I am officially out of the hole. It really didnt' take me long, but when you're in it, it feels like forever!

Andrea, I hope y'all have a good time out here. Been here all my life though we are discussing moving out of state at some point. Seems like everywhere I go has some sort of trigger!

Nam, don't you just love the brutal honesty of a child, not! My littlest one says I am fat and an old woman! She tells her sister that too, who is a twig and a teen. I am glad you are feeling better!

Veiled, you say you have been in Texas all your life and you are thinking of moving out of state.... I am thinking of moving to Plano/ Dallas area... what do you think?

I can't say anything about Plano, never really been there. I did spend a lot of time in the DFW area. I really don't like it personally, but apparently many do as it is a big place! Dallas, every time I have gone through has been a pain, but is a great party town. At least it was in my younger years, don't see how it would change. I feel safer in Houston than Dallas and handle the traffic better. In Houston everyone does 80 mph, in dallas it is 55 or 75 depending on the car unless a traffic jam. At least in Houston even if it is like an Indy 500 everyone goes the same speed, there is a flow, Dallas, no flow. Out on the streets walking I prefer Houston, I don't feel safe in Dallas for some reason (vibes?).

But I would imagine job opportunities would be good with the way that area has grown. You have to deal with the heat, it gets pretty damn hot but isn't as oppressive as South Texas with its humidity like out here. Doesn't like to snow, but tends too sleet making black ice to slide on. If you get in a more rural area keep an eye out for copper heads hiding under *anything* and watch for cotton mouths around the water. And you have tornadoes, but it isn't that bad. I have them all the time right by me and I am still here.

Even in a city neighborhood don't be shocked if you peek over a fence to find someone raising rabbits or hens, even if against ordinace some still sneak them, and the deer hunters processing their kill or tanning a hide in the back yard! Also, Texas has a lot of feral hogs, so if you are in the country area expect them and have a gun loaded. Texas is over run with them and are considered nusiance. They cost millions in damage to crops and the like every year if not more. Out here you are encouraged to bag as many as you can.

Most people are friendly, traveling cross country I have to give them credit here. Texans seem more willing to stop and help with car trouble. People are a bit more open, which isn't always bad but if you feel withdrawn it can chase you into your home. But still watch your back in the work place. They can be very nice with some Southern charm touched in, but they will still backstab to claw their way to the top in a heart beat.

Is that the kind of info you were looking for?

yup, I work for Countrywide, they have a huge division in Plano... I was thinking of possibly transfering... considering that the average house around here ranges from 700k-1.5Mil, cost of living sucks!

OUCH! Well, if your income does not change you would probably be sitting pretty then. If I remember right the cost of living in California is at least 3x that of Texas. That was almost 20 years ago so my numbers are probably out of date! Judging by your average home costs it is out of date. For way way less you could get a pretty sweet little ranch in Texas.
