New Here
Hi,
I stumbled upon this website by accident and I'm hoping I will get some support and advice from here. My husband was in the military, discharged 4 years ago and six months ago was diagnosed with PTSD. He has been hospitalised 2x. Our marriage has deteriorated to the point that we sleep in separate bedrooms. His behaviour is erratic and very confusing for me and my children. Does anyone have any hints to help keep this marriage together?

That's a tough one. He needs help. You need help. Your marriage needs help. I believe priority one is your husband. He needs the professional help he deserves, And he needs you and your children's patience and understanding. It's not going to be easy though. Six or seven years after my traumatic work injury I began to have really weird intrusive thoughts. That was tough, really tough on me and my family. Don't give up.

Thanks Ron,
He is getting help and I've begun seeing a counsellor. I just hope I can keep it together. I don't want to give up on us.

I am new as well, so I don't have any sage advice, but I am glad you are taking care of yourself too. Therapy is very helpful and I have come to look forward to seeing my T as well as our couples T. I just keep trying to let my husband know that I will be here for him when he needs me, but in the meantime, we both need to take care of ourselves, eachother and our son.
