Relationship Husband recently diagnoised with ptsd child hood trauma

My husband suffered child hood trauma as a child here lately his behavior has been so up and down our relationship has suffered and he's had affairs and also cocaine abuse I recently found out of him cheating to also find all this out... Ugh

PTSD is a rolllercoaster. Is he getting treatment?

Don't feel like you have to excuse his bad behavior because he has PTSD. PTSD does not cause cheating. PTSD does not cause drug abuse. PTSD may cause self loathing or desires to take risks... but acting on them is a choice he is making. Infidelity and drug abuse aren't symptoms, they're unhealthy coping mechanisms. You're allowed to be pissed off. You're allowed to have boundaries. It is not OK for him to run rampant over you even if he is sick and you are the "healthy one".

This just happened Saturday with him being released from the hospital.. He had an appt today for drug counseling but he went to work $ is tight but I'd rather have him

Untreated PTSD and drug abuse is a heinous combo.

Is he willing to go into drug treatment? It will be a long hard road, and THEN there is the PTSD treatment. Of course some treatment will overlap but he'll have to stabilize without drugs before getting into heavy trauma work.
