Thank you! sometimes those things come back 7 times stronger to test you. Not going to say it will happen, but if it does, I want to agree you will resist it and do not be discouraged! You have your victory. I'm happy for you. ! Light and life are so much better!

I wish I could edit this-what I wanted to say is "you good" ! do not worry!

Thank you all for the correction. Showing me the way. I have an inkling that I’ll start being tempted by women again but it’s far from the “what if” challenge I had ten yrs ago.

I’ve seen you here before, Sonic.

Drugs are evil!
God is good!
Women are evil!
Drugs are good!
Thank you Jesus!

Drug induced psychosis with religious overtones.

Drugs are evil!
God is good...

Round and round the merry go round, for 3 years.

You come in here kicking, blame the withdrawal symptoms on PTSD, start using drugs again to deal with “the PTSD”, praise Jesus, f*ck up your life on drugs, quit again, rinse-lather-repeat.

Seriously, man... until you deal with your substance abuse disorder, nothing is going to change.

Because it hasn’t changed. It’s the exact same cycle you’ve been in, as long as you’ve been on here, and the exact same cycle you’ve described being in your life for far far far longer. You keep blaming your PTSD stuff on drugs, and your drugs on PTSD, and all of it on God (keeping yourself helpless/making it God’s responsibility to deliver you, instead of your own responsibility)... all of which allows you to avoid doing anything about either. It’s like you’re playing a shell game with yourself between God, Drugs, & PTSD. With the end result always the same : keeping drugs in your life. That’s the pea you keep shuffling around, it’s the one thing that is always present.

Trying to run from them doesn’t work. It is only obtained by a repentivr heart!
Yes and the Lord gives us the tools we need to deal with addiction. It can't be done alone. My pastor is a former alcoholic that got clean and then got serious about ministry. In that order. He didn't do it alone either. He did it with help . There are Christian counselors and groups that can be there with you to make sure you stay accountable.

Hey man thanks for the insult.

It’s not an insult. It’s an attempt to help. Try reading it, as such. If you’re not capable of it now? Come back and try again, later, with a little more distance // when you can suspend your disbelief. You don’t need to take my word for it, though. Take your own. Go through your posting history. Look at the pattern yourself.
