My t says 'you know it's real when you have body sensations."
Meaning if the flashback physically hurts somewhere (for me it's my hands)- it's real.
But it took me a long time to admit (or even be aware) that yes, there was pain.
At first I just looked at her like she was nuts.
Now I know - if my hands start to hurt it's because of a memory I don't want to acknowlege
