I need help - panic attack in response to loud music & sexy girls at club

Before anything: I'm sorry if my English it's not adequate to the best of standards, as my name implies i'm not from USA, England or other native English speaking countries. Also, there will surely be some cultural differences in the way i may personally view things and the way that it may be commonly viewed by NA societies.

My question is: what can make a somewhat healthy 25 yo male individual have a (i think) panic attack and strong "run away as fast as possible reaction" when mentally reacting to a given situation involving loud funk (an obscene, underground, brazillian genre) music, teenagers girls sexualized to current cloathing style or similar fashion, dark as possible ambiance music, alcohol and dancing.

The rush of feelings gets so intense on the drawn situation that the healthy 25 yo male, friend of mine, gets disoriented, scared and feeling like throwing up. It also makes said young individual be completly unable to think clearly or maybe think at all, acting on pure mindless reaction of feelings of fear and running away from that as far as possible. Another point to consider is that the effects linger for a while, its not immediately stopped after running from the situation that caused them - and the effects put him on a weak occlude mental and spiritual state for a short while.

It hurts parcially in the stomach, maybe behind the abs... And it is causing disturbance and inability to interact at least in acceptable manners, in a society that is enclosed with music and partying.

What is happening to this friend? Why is he feeling this and why does it hurts soo bad?

I don't know, @Brazillian John Doe. But it does sound like he is being triggered by those things. When I get triggered by things that bring up my traumas I react the same ways. I hope you can encourage him to find a good therapist to help him through these things.

It's really hard to say. If your friend was posting for themselves and describing things in detail, then it's dangerous to play 'internet doctor'. With less information than that, it would be irresponsible to try to answer your question.

It could be a psychological thing - PTSD is a possibility, along with many other disorders.

It could be purely in the body - ear problems can do all kinds of weird things to the entire body, and there are other possible explanations as well.

If your friend is unhappy about this situation, then I would suggest asking them to see a doctor. In Australia, if you have a mental health issue, then it's good to start with the normal family doctor and get them to send you to a psychologist or psychiatrist (that way, the government health insurance pays for most of it). I don't know how things work in Brazil :(

Your friend is having strong reactions to these situations, one immediate reaction would be to remove him from the crowd, let him calm down. He needs help in figuring out what exactly it is to make him react that way, can be the noise, too many people, sensory overload, panic attack or signs of past trauma, or even PTSD.
