General I Think I May Have Cancer

This is not related to ptsd. I've been having menopausal symptoms for a while now. In the spring I had a sono that showed a cyst and a fibroid and I was supposed to have a follow up in 6 weeks. In Sept I started having back and leg pain and abdominal pressure, along with a few other symptoms. I just had a repeat sono over a week ago and haven't heard back. Due to my age and symptoms I fear it's ovarian cancer. I only told one friend what Ive been reading and all my symptoms. I'm scared and just needed to say something. A nightmare woke me up so I came here.

Any ways you know of to help calm your mind and relax?

I truly wish you the very best of luck, and hope that these are benign cysts. I don't know how efficient your medical system is there but just perhaps there might be comfort you can take from the fact that they haven't called to get you in urgently this last week?

I had a scare about cancer similar to that last winter. I drove myself crazy looking up symptoms online. In my case I did not have cancer, but the wait was exhausting. On thing that helped me (even though this kind of thing doesn't usually) was to write down the thing I was most scared about, most grateful for, and most hoping for each day. I hope the fact that they haven't reached out with the results means it's good news.

Cysts are gone, fibroids have gotten bigger, that's why I'm having symptoms. They are more common in younger women and cysts more common at my age, but not in this case. One less thing to worry about for now. Thank- you everyone for your concern and kind words.
