Ie9 Finally Stable

Whilst Internet Explorer (IE) the browser sucks, IE9 has now been released as stable, as is a major stepup for Microsoft, as this is their first browser that is close to web standards compliant, so a site like this that is latest, cutting edge software, displays extremely well finally in a version of IE... where you have had to use FF, Chrome, Safari, etc, to correctly see how the website is viewed, rounded corners, so forth.

If you use IE, I don't, but if you do, then I would highly recommend you upgrade to IE9 from the windows update on your computer, so you can experience HTML5 correctly... and well... the web. IE9 is about 95% web standards compliant last I heard... that is a major feat since prior browsers.

Exactly what I mean... the above post I did in IE9, and that few lacking percent from web standards compliant, posted the above without a clear space between paragraphs as I had posted it, instead won't recognise the editor break feature which is web standards compliant. Go figure! Had to fix it in a web standards browser, aka: Chrome, just to get a clear space between paragraphs.

While I have been taking things a bit easier over the last few days, I upgraded to IE9. Your right Anthony it is bad, no where near good enough for this forum.

So I have just re-installed Google Chrome, to give it another try, and hey presto this time it is working exactly as it should. Would not work on my laptop last time I tried it, but with the up-grades it is now working brilliantly.

Is this related to my disdain for Bill Gates and Windows and wondering why I never bought an Apple ??
Or am I just another cyber, puter illiterate ?

The stupid thing about the whole Windows vs. Mac thing is... if you put Windows onto the mac as a second OS, it runs flawless on an Apple machine. Guess that has a whole lot to do with Apple computers being specifically engineered vs. a PC is not engineered to specific specifications. Instead they just throw them together using this part, that part, etc, without the endth degree that Apple put into their architecture.

Thanks I feel better already. I think Bill Gates had it all planned out : how to make a lot of money on upgrades, fixes, almost mandatory changes in Op systems, necessary anti-virus etc. programs, providing certifications for IT guys to fix all the PC's.. not to mention all the hardware and software that will no longer run with the latest system.......

BUT I do owe Bill. When I first crashed with the PTSD I got a computer, somehow. I was mesmerized by the sound it made when it was turned on. The sound it made when all the "stars" started floating by. I think that computer kept me alive for some time. Later, I emailed Bill Gates and explained how that sound and sensation kept me going, and thanked him.

I did get an email back from Bill's assistant, assistants assistant to the first, second and third assistant, assuring me that my email was received and to not expect a reply.

Did you know that Bill flies his fully armed personal attack helicopter to a machine gun site in Arizona every year just long enough to blow away many targets....and then fly home. This is true as I have witnesses. Who said money can't buy anything ??
