Anthony, I have a similar vision. If I ever win the lottery, I even know where it'll be. I found the place last year camping. I would have staff on hand 24hrs to give whatever was required. I already know a few people I'd choose to be there too. I've worked out what would be there, a bit like if we died and went to PTSD sufferers heaven! We would get better quicker too, I have no doubt. We'd learn, develop and become stronger.

Anthony there is a program at ST John Of God Hospital In Richmond,Sydney I have heard good reports and bad.Each to his own I guess,I also believe it to be very expensive but will be paid for by DVA,VEA,MRCS.Porky Rees.

Seriously though, if I put together a PTSD resort (can someone buy me a lottery ticket) I might have programs developed (Anthony, you would have to be right-hand-man and consultant) that start out with a sort of basic training regimen (Phase I), learn critical concepts and new ways of rationalization (phase II), a learning laboratory to practice learned skills amongst peers (phase III), and finally a vacation-like (at least 2 weeks) environment on which to focus on the arts.

Yep... could do that mac. I am actually qualified at assessor level for "any" competency based training packages, to build or assess them. I am train the trainer certified also... he he. I can build, package, train and assess any package, any trade, any skill set... interesting! One that I have tucked away for this exact type of thing.

I believe if a person was at their absolute worst in PTSD, it would take me six months with them, group of them, to have them walk out the door completely new people. Yes, they would have to continue learning for themselves, how to manage and cope, but they would certainly have the skills and experience from exposure after I finished with them.
