Simply Complex made me do five burpees yesterday. OMG-she is trying to kill me!:eek:

I'm hopeless at burpees I keep trying though. Agree with anni your defo going about it Right way Kp the key is the 80 20 rule good 80% time bit laid back other 20. I have that the wrong way I'm bad 80 of time.
 
I LOVE this thread! I was finally able to break out of my head and get out for my walk this morning albeit a small one for me but it was a walk :) I saw this yesterday and thought I have to at least 'try'.

I tend to do squats or leg stretches while brushing my teeth since I have one of those electric brushes and just standing there in front of the mirror bugs me :whistling: or heating up something to eat. I love Annie's suggestion about the weights.

(((Anni,))) feel free to butt in anytime ;), Your idea about the weights is a really good one. However if you saw me, I think you would realise I don't need to carry extra weight, I can only just manage what I have now :eek:. Hopefully as I become lighter and fitter I will use weights as well.

=Unfortunately I have failed again already so early on in the day, so angry at myself. maybe my mind just isn't in it or I'm making excuses for my lack willpower..

(((Sazza))), please don't beat yourself up over this. Take one thing at a time, concentrate on trying to get to a better place with your PTSD. It is only now that I am managing symptoms am I ready for this. Even 3 weeks ago, and I did try, I just wasn't in the right mind set. This week I just felt ready.

Be kind to yourself, remember baby steps.

Just remember to cut down a lot, but not cut out completely. You dont want to feel you cannot have anything that they say is bad for you.

(((Amethist))) Hence being good during the week so I can relax a little at the weekends. I'm trying not to label good or bad, all food is good but not in the excesses I was drinking alcohol (empty calories) or eating stacks of chocolate.

Been on a diet and lost almost well lets say alot. I'm a big girl. Things I found that work for me is more soy in my diet "not to hard for me to do as I don't get along with dairy" and using vinegar when I cook. Don't know how the vinegar works but it does.

Low cal potatoes
Shred or mince two cups fresh potatoes
On med/low heat 1/8 cup olive oil
Once oil is hot put in the potatoes.
You will run out of oil before potatoes are done. When this happens add 1/4 cup pomigranit vinegar. Continue to heat on low till potatoes are soft.

There is so much flavor that you won't need any condiments.

Pomigranite and Blueberry Chicken

Forget the oils when cooking chicken.

Take bonless skinless chicken and line the bottom of a baking dish. Cover with 2 cups blueberry juice and one cup Pomigranit vinegar. Bake at 350 for 30 min.

While that is baking in a seperate baking dish prepare 2 cups coli flower. Zest one orange over the top of the coli flower. At the 30 minute mark take 1/4 cup of juice from chicken and pour over coli flower and put in oven. Turn chicken over. Bake an additional 20 min then remove and cool.

This will make a full meal. here is also a quick tip for lower guilt gravy. While everything is cooking take some rice and put it in a coffee grinder. Grind till powdered. When the chicken is done take a plastic bag with ice in it and dab at the fat deposits in the drippings. They will stick to the cold bag making it easy to remove. For every cup of drippings use 2 tbl of powdered rice in a blender till smooth. Take the blended mixture and heat on a stove for ten minutes remembering to stir repeatedly. As it cools to a warm temp it will thicken just like gravy but with less guilt.

Thank you so much for the recipes, I know there is a 'cooking with indulgence' thread. Maybe we should start a healthy eating thread. What do folk think?
