gamereign - I was never brilliant, nor ever will be, but I enjoy it ..... so why not give it a go? I sought out a non-contesting band, one that welcomes all abilities, and encourages learning and development. Also, I really enjoy playing at home to music and backing tracks (which is a bit like karaoke for the player, rather than singer).

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea, I love music and art already, playing music itself is an art right?
I have been trying to get back some of my abilities, I believe there still there I am just afraid of something, afraid to start something creative.

I think what you're doing is so awesome CB. Doing something you enjoy can make a huge difference in the way you feel about yourself, or the way you feel in general.

I also think it's awesome that you made a deal and are sticking to it. That takes alot of courage!!

I play the flute but have never played in public but you never know. I wanted to get out and meet people recently so I took up ballroom dancing with my hubby. We are a bit rubbish (honestly), but we do have a laugh!

Keep it up CB! We all need an outlet.

Congratulations! Music is very therapeutic. I am a violinist by trade but recently took up 12 string acoustic guitar and am thinking of following your impressive lead. Bands are so much more intimate than orchestras, though they both have their good points :D
