I'm New And This Is Awkward

I've been talking in my sleep at night over the past few years and waking my kids-up because they can hear me. My son and daughter are about to graduate. My son is making a choice that I wish was different. I have no idea why I'm going through this now.

30 years ago, I protected the public good. It looks like I've never gotten past some of those things. Very few people know what an "eight ball" is or how cold a transfusion feels.

Welcome to the forum.

You have come to a good place to try and find answers to some of your questions. Many new members feel awkward at first, just give it a while and you will feel more relaxed, and then you be amazed how quickly you become an old hand at posting.

Take your time with everything, from reading other members posts, the information areas about all stuff ptsd and just write what you feel comfortable with right now. There is no rush to blurt it all out in one go, unless that's what you feel like doing.

Thank you for the note. I was never in the military but I have picked-up some dents that few have seen in civilian service. There must be others. Without getting too personal, are you a nurse/doc who has worked in a trauma unit?
