I'm Still Around - Just Busy

Hi all!

Just dropped by to let those who remember me know that I'm still on the Forum.

I don't drop in very often as I have been mega busy setting up my arts and crafts business. I have been doing business courses, learning the ropes and generally making connections.

This has been a challenging time for me, pushing my boundaries and learning to be confident in my abilities. I don't always succeed but I keep at it. The last job I took lasted a week and a half as the boss was abusive and I had to decide if I was going to put up with it for the sake of the money or leave for the sake of my health. I thought of the old verse (not sure but it could be from the Bible) 'don't cast your pearls before swine,' meaning that we shouldn't throw our gifts and talents before people who will not appreciate there worth and will either trample on them or devour them. That is when I took the decision to become my own boss, self-employed, a sole trader.

So that is why I'm not around as much. I am reaching for that illusive 'potential' and generally enjoying my life. I'm not making money as yet (a couple of pounds here and there) but I am pleased with what I have accomplished so far and if it doesn't work out it truly doesn't matter. My husband works but doesn't earn much so we do not put much money into the project therefore if it doesn't work we haven't lost much. This also means that setting up is a slow process and needs patience, which I am not good at.

I have missed chatting with you all especially those who I have got to know well but I haven't forgotten you and think of you often. I will be popping in from time to time to see how you are all doing.

Love you guys

@CraftyCath I have thought of you this week, here you are. Of course I remember you, doing challenges with you in our group those days.

Seems you are learning and quite contented with it. It is good to see you are making positive progress. Life can be tricky at times, but we do need to hang on there.

So kind of you to drop by, let us know with your latest update.

Love you,too friend.

Edit: Keep in touch with us please.

@Tanishq @Nighthawk @Britt.f7 @Anrish

Thank you all dear fiends for your kind thoughts and words, they mean so much to me. I will be popping in when I can to say 'hi.'

I have been around PTSD long enough to know that there will be times when I will struggle and need support as I have before. I wish to thank all of those who have supported me in the past - too many to name but you know who you are. I have made some lifelong friends on here and I don't want to loose any of you so I will still be here checking up on you all! :p:)

Love you

I have so missed you so much so thank you for popping in with the update. Good luck on your grand new venture and way to go. I am so very inspired by you. Love you too. Big hugs.

@ItsDemi22 Thank you so much and it's nice to meet you. :)

@gizmo I have missed you also and thank you for the beautiful words. :D

@intothelight This is what the Forum is for, to help and encourage and to help people to move on. So many have helped me here, yourself included; too many to mention but I am so grateful and proud of each and everyone that I have got to know on here. If it works out for me it will be great if not there is still the medieval reenactment and living history so I will still have much to do. Who knows where the path may lead?

@The Albatross Great to hear from you Alba, hope all is well with you? Thank you for your support and kindness.

@Pottershand Talented? Me? :whistling: Aww thank you so much you are to kind but I am so glad that you are - blessings.

I'm not too well today (tummy bug I think) so I'm a bit behind with my plans and I have been sidetracked by my son who has asked me to make 2 medieval tunics and a pair of medieval trousers in two weeks! :banghead: Next job is to photograph my large pieces of work and get some limited edition prints done before advertising them on-line. Then I need to do some' certificates of authenticity,' work out post and packaging price and try to get a business grant from the government.:nailbiting: Here I go.....
