Well, believe it or not, someone from the Kris Kringle thread here on this Forum sent me a gift, even though I could not afford to participate this year! So I am in a much better mood now, just because of that alone.
Another thing I can do is go to online Overeaters Anonymous Meetings, of which there are 7 per day. I know how to lead these meetings too, in case any of the regular leaders cannot make it. I might end up leading a bunch of these meetings, which would be fine with me, something to keep me busy and my mind off my feeling alone.
None the less, I did mention to my pastor that I would be alone on Christmas, other than at the church service, and she did not make any suggestions, though I will be seeing her that week, as she promised to stop by so we can work on something we have been working on together for my benefit, so I am pleased about that. She said that usually the week before Christmas is very SLOW for her, as everyone is generally busy that week.
My other option is to go to the Nursing Home right down the block about a half a mile from here and visit the folks there that have been left alone. I might do that, if it is not rainy or too cold (as I have no car).
