Immediate Relief: Depression & Suicidal Ideation

I listen to a music tape I was given by my last community. Sometimes I ring a crisis line. This forum has also pulled me through some dark hours.

In that succession, if one doesn't work, I'll try the next:
* Listening to my fight song (Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, don't judge me, thank you)
* Taking a loooooooooong shower, shaving my legs, doing my nails, picking at my facial pores
* Getting some cuddle time with my husband
* Sleeping
* I know it doesn't count as a skill because it's destructive, but self-harm can take the edge off of sucidal thoughts
* Visualising my husband finding me
 
I just noticed, this thread is perfectly timed for me. There's some storm clouds ahead, I'll be working on a concrete trauma next week, so I should go and put together an emergency kit including my list of suicide prevention measures plus some more for me to practice as preparation...

FON- you are so lucky to have a spouse so understanding and there for you!
Oh yes, I am. He's my life saver. And I thank him for being so wonderful as often as I can.

If I ever find out what exactly I did to attract him I'll publish a How-to and get filthy rich :D
