In Need Of Advice

Woohoo!
I blew off the first phone call where he was present and on speaker, got my msg to his case worker and she called me back this evening. We had a pretty long talk about it and she's going to suggest up to 30 days rehab at his hearing!!! I honestly didn't even know you could force an adult into rehab.

Boy, is he going to hate this. And man, am I relieved... I have begged and pleaded with him to consider rehab for the past year at least. I know that if I hadn't broken off our engagement and kicked him out, he would still be using. He wouldn't have gotten this bad-off but he'd still be slowly killing himself.

So grateful I could cry.

He will probably hate it and he may do his best to try to pull you back in, but stay strong and keep steady on this good path you are on. Hopefully it spurs him on in his own recovery.
