I try and live by the saying 'every bad thing happens for a good reason'

Every bad thing that has happened in my life has eventually stemmed into something good.
Example- If I have never been abused then I never would have dropped out of highschool, if I'd never dropped out of highschool then I never would have ever joined a job program, if I'd never joined that program I never would have started volunteering, if I'd never started volunteering then I never would have got a sponsorship to go to California for a month, with all my flights, food, transport and accomodation paid for.

That one made me laugh! I like it. I have little quotes and things laying around to help calm me down sometimes. For example, I have a sign in my bedroom that says "I have PTSD. PTSD does not have me." I think that's another one I can use!
