one thing you might not even notice: you have a good sense of humor... I had a chuckle when I read the "pea-soup":-), i know it might not help you in the actual moment to know this, but humor is a very very good help on the way...
When I had to start and work my whole personal history through it was like a continuous "up and down" and I had to fight much... there where many parts of my history which i could not think about... it was hard work to get this sorted out (i had help by a therapist) ...
It might sound weird, but after this up and downs i had sorted my whole life new and - although it was so hard sometimes and still is sometimes - i am thankful that i could undergo this process... it put everything in the right place...
sorry, my english might be too pure to explain so delicate procedures that the soul does take... I tried at least:-)
