We don't have a fighter helicopter. We do have Tiger's, but they are only used for Recce purposes. Our Chooks have a mini gun though

nice pic Jimmy,

yeah things are ok here. Selling off shit to pay my mortgage thanks to DVA's great interim incapacity payment .. always nice. but apart form that shit, cant complain.

how about you ?

DVA has its checks and balances mate. I lost a car that was on salary sacrifice, then went bankrupt because DVA was slack.

Got over that now and am discharged from bankruptcy, but the black mark will stay for another 3 years.

So they screw everyone in some way..

I am fine mate. We can't wait to move down there in a few years.

I've always thought that I knew quite a bit about the world, geographically speaking. But being here has been a real education for me. Gotta' say that I love the internet. Where else could people from all over the world communicate like we do and with such ease. We all know that there's a down side to all this, but the positive side is fantastic.

There's just so much that I really don't know about people from other places. American are such snobs. We think we know everything, truth is we don't know squat.

Some of the pictures from where you folks down under and across the pond live are, to use 'that' phrase, Awesome. Thanks for helping to open my eyes to a bigger world.

Here is one for you: When I became a US citizen years and years ago, I went to vote for the first time in the presidential elections. There was a little white-haired granny helping with the register etc. I asked her could she explain what to do, since I'm a new citizen and it's my first time voting in the US. She got really excited, new citizen, and where are you from, dear? I told her Germany. She looked at me and then took my hand, patted it, and said, well it's ok dear, now you're in America. Here we can vote. (y)

Moving to good old Swedlebach from Louisana was a mind bender for sure. We were the only Americans in the town and the only German that spoke english was a boy about my age. Cool guy, Beno. Thirteen and going to diesel mechanics school.

But, it taught me about being a good "world citizen". After being overseas both in Germany and then S.E. Asia, it's truely like a liberal arts degree in college. It's like looking at a picture of a seven story high Budda sitting out in the middle of Thailand. You might go, "so what?". But you fly over the damn thing and see how really HUGE the thing is, it teaches one.

I've indeed been blessed to travel as much as I did. Wouldn't trade the memories for anything.
