Just Because!

Well, I just popped on here and no one was here.:cry:

Then I realized :rolleyes:just how comforting and supportive I find this forum!:affection:

This forum :thinking: I thought, is GREAT! :dance: because of the members. Really the members ARE this site!:D

So I thought :thinking: by golly :bounce: since I have no posts to read, I will take this time to tell all the members how much they have helped in supporting me, encouraging me, teaching me, showing me things I wouldn't have realized without them. Yes... even somethings I might not have liked!:p but I needed to hear!

I just want to say I feel so connected here, like this is family. There is nothing more freeing than knowing you are NOT alone, that even though you may feel like you are going nuts, other people have een there too. Most of all there are people who have been able to get moving down the path to heal.:applause::thumbsup: That is the most encouraging, because it is PROOF that healing is possible.

So I just want to say...

I LOVE This Forum (The Members)

Nice thoughts WW! You are absolutely right, the members make the site what it is. Without members, there would be no forum. It's sad that 'we' have reason to be here, but great that we can support each other :bounce:

That's very kind WW, but we honestly don't do a great deal. Now it's all set up, the forum pretty much runs itself. This software is brilliant for cutting down the amount of administration issues (to pretty much zero). I have no doubt that as the forum grows, changes and improvements will be needed. I also need to get my brain in gear and write some articles, but it will all continue to come together, grow and improve over time.

You know, when I first came here I wasn't sure if I fit so I came and left for awhile...then I came back. You and Marie, as well as Blu, (and others, not meaning to leave anyone out) have really made me feel like I belong here. I still get caught up in a 'hit and run' feeling, that's just what I was made into but it's nice to have some warmth and a laugh :peekaboo:

I think that's an entirely normal reaction. When I started the forum - I wasn't sure I was the 'right person for the job', and I can't imagine anyone joining a community about sexual assault being blasé about it. I just think of it as 'learning together'. All members here are supportive, non-judgemental of each other, and try to help others when they are well enough to do so.
