Just Give Up Already

Do you happen to have any other relatives, Twinkle? Anyone that could be more understanding and assistive? Or, could other people talk to him about this?

That's not why I posted though. I posted because my dad isn't supportive.

You don't need people to be supportive in all ways... If some ways you can cover yourself. Less stress on both of you, than asking them what they can't or won't give.

Your mind jumped from if he can't drive you? (Fair. You're asking a favor of him. No is always a fair answer when asking something of someone.) to... You can't go. Probably leaping to incorrect conclusions there. Bunch of different options available for alternate transport. None both convenient AND free (although many are one or the other), but which of them are doable, and of what's doable, which might be best? :) Like a 20 min drive = a 2-3 hour walk. Long ass walk. Bus to somewhere nearby, however, might only be a 10 minute walk. That's significantly better.

Friday I just listed the reasons why other transportation won't work in this case. The bus doesn't go out there and my insurance won't provide enough rides. I can't afford uber. I just can't go. It's too far away. They have another location where I will do therapy but not an IOP program.

"why don't you just give up already? You go to the psychiatrist and therapist and it's not doing nothing, so just give up." I didn't know what to say to that. I don't think he understands when mentally ill people give up they commit suicide.

This would be really tough to take. I feel for you twinkle. So tough when it feels like people are giving up on you. Not certain if that is what you are feeling, but I would imagine I would feel like that.

You don't need to give up. I don't know if there are people you could post about a ride share ....? Or maybe you need to put this on the back burner (not give up), but wait until a better time. I am not certain if that is possible.

I give you credit for trying as hard as you are.
