Well... day one and pretty much broke even.

TSON

My killer stock was TSON, which was UP 14%. A tidy 350 point profit for a single day. I think they will climb a little further tomorrow, though I'm not sure how much more before time to sell. A day, maybe two at most... a stable stock it seems with a good potential for growth based on its history pricing and PR that it is launching its products into the China market... so hopefully sales from that next year will show far better performance.

One to watch from researching it.

Holy, did TSON ever jump! It's too bad groupon is dropping almost as fast. I had some groupon, dumped them on the up, maybe made 3 cents, but I didn't lose, so that's a positive.

I'm sticking with MCD for my low risk investment, BLND.L and CTXS for medium risk and taking a long term chance on Target, that it goes up with the new year and it's expansion into Canada in 2013.

My killer stock was YMA.F - up nearly 6% but I didn't have enough invested to make it matter. Hoping it will pan out to be my big money maker once I sell off some other stocks like BLND.L and CTXS next week before I leave for the holidays.

Check out some GE too. They typically do well this time of year. The new Dreamliner plane is giving them a bit of a boost in the PR department. Since they were able to shuck their mortgage division, they seem to be far more lucrative. We will see. Not sure about the Target deal. I think retail will be scary if Xmas numbers are not good. Look at a smaller, discount retail company named Fred's that is out on the west coast. They can sometimes fluctuate with higher trading this time of year. If you are a gambler, you can play the building bubble and invest in something like Pulte Homes. If they post fourth quarter gains and forecast a good 2013, their stock will go up tremendously. Or, you can buy more local, Anthony, and choose Beazer Homes. They are from the UK but also build nationally in the US. In any case, there are some long shots that could pay off big. I would stay away from pharmaceuticals and med tech. The Obamacare stuff is coming down and seems to be paralyzing some of that field from what I have read.
Yay!!! This is FUN!!!!
