Undiagnosed Knee Surgery A Month Ago.

Newbie, I just wanted to say that I had knee surgery month ago and it turn for the worst. I was completely over medicated and went into respiratory depression , and now I am having some issues and come to find out I have PTSD.

We cannot diagnose you here, you must see a specialist for that.

It is not uncommon to have issues after something like this, but with specialist help and support you should be able to get back to normal life quite quickly.

Hopefully this will not develop into PTSD.

Welcome to the PTSD Forum. Bless your heart. I am sorry you have post traumatic stress. Knee surgery can be very painful. I had it done on my left knee a number of years ago, and it took an entire year for things to settle down. I still have issues from that surgery. sigh. It really sucks, doesn't it?

With the right type of help, you can get help so it doesn't turn into the D in ptsd. "Disorder" How are you doing otherwise? I sure do hope you have help at home. I live alone, so things did not go so well for me.

Take your time and look around. There are some wonderful people here.
