I came across this site while trying to research why I have this "linea negra". I'm 23, very fair-skinned, and never been pregnant. All of my research led to pregnancy and mentioned it is more common in darker complexions but I found a few resources that said estrogen is thought to cause this discoloration as well and that it is indicative of hormonal imbalance. This has been the only thing I've found referencing the adrenal insufficiency and ptsd. Do you have any sources to refer me to? I have had one since before I can remember.

I noticed awhile back that my Linea Negra is still very very dark. My youngest child is almost 11 years old now. I am also fair skinned with blonde hair. Does anyone else have this? The Linea Negra when not pregnant? Does anyone have any information or know anything about this? I also read this can occur after long periods of suffering stress. I have had PTSD for 15 years now.

Omg.. I am 23, never been pregnant, my hormone levels are fine, including cortisol..
And I have that line almost forever, but it is fair and light and I have a sunny tan..
What can that mean, can somebody please answer...? :(
