I lost my job at the end of January and joined a golf league. It is a group of retired women and I am the "whippersnapper". It is a nice group of women who are non competitive and it's a safe place for me to practice interaction among strangers. So I played 9 with them today. They are very inspiring as some are well into their 80s. Im "only" 57 but really enjoy them.

Monday, light 5k with Homer and a Krav workout afterwards - on the light side
Tuesday, a pace run and some speed play (fartlek)
Wednesday, cardio recovery day which is just some muscle warm up and gentle stretching
Thursday, 12k run
Friday, gentle swim - today was an absolutely glorious day re weather.

Saturday is a rest day and then Sunday is the Marathon - I am hoping for a 3:45-3:50 and not push too hard since I will use this as a warm up for the qualifier in October. At least that's the plan as we speak ; )

@City Slicker To see the efforts of those trying to better theirselves is invaluable on this board. Often hope comes from seeing others give theirselves permission to thrive, dream and live in joy. In turn, it subtly states..."You too, can do it in your own way!"

Thank you for sharing all that you are accomplishing or practicing to accomplish.

Yesterday walked 3,700 steps with Jawbone bracelet on and a few hundred steps...forgetting to put it on...:blackeye: Just a relaxing day as that is 1.70 miles or 2.7 km and I was trying to keep things in balance.

Today...I will walk in the mountains, watching the cattle dogs with family.

@City Slicker : Your marathon is comping up, right? I will cheer for you!!!
