I went to the Gym for the first time today. I need to get trained on how to use the various exercise equipment, but at least I did get there, get signed up and all that. Now to call the personal trainer....
I woke up feeling quite depressed, so I begin with cold/ warm showers. Almond/ oatmeal breakfast with mineral+vitamin supplement.
10 minutes cardio. Weight training on 9 machines. Ab training. 2 hr Gym workout.
I sit upstairs in church and I have to go down the stairs several times, once to bring down the count of the number of folks who came to church along with my donation, once for communion and then to exit the church. So, my Sunday exercise is up and down a set of stairs 3 times and I think I did an extra one today too, to give something to someone. Other days I walk or something, but stairs are good exercise too!
You know, I rarely think about it, but when I wake up every morning, I stretch and stretch many times. I do whole body stretches and take deep breaths while I do these. It is a life long habit and a good one!
Just to walk to my therapy appointments and down the hallway stairs is a big workout for me considering my chronic illnesses. So I am proud of that accomplishment!!!
THe local Gym moved right down the block from me! SO I went there for the first time today and did the eliptical, cycling and lifted some weights. I have weights at home too, of course, but I must admit that it is nicer to see myself in the mirror lifting them. I feel more like I am accomplishing something.
I also walked there and back AND did my usual half hour of exercises for Seniors.
